Disney's High School Musical

Book by

David Simpatico

Music adapted, arranged, and produced by

Bryan Louiselle

Based on a Disney Channel Original Movie Written by Peter Barsocchini

Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life on your stage! Troy, Gabriella, and the students of East High must deal with issues of first love, friends, and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities.

It's the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes find their cliques, recount their vacations and look forward to the new year. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. They cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical that is being led by Ms. Darbus. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella's alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

DISNEY'S HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).  All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI.  www.mtishows.com

An URGENT message from the Marshall Civic Players Board of Directors:

Dear MCP Patrons, Volunteers & Audience,

The cast and crew of Disney's High School Musical have been hard at work to put on a great show for all of you. Unfortunately, one of our cast members in a leading role tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday, July 10th. Therefore, the rest of the cast was exposed due to the cast unmasking during tech rehearsals. Since notification of the positive test, the cast and crew have been taking precautions to prevent further spread of illness. After deliberation and advisement from local medical providers, the Marshall Civic Players Board of Directors have decided to continue with the production as planned, with proper safety guidelines in place and adjustments made to the cast so that all affected students can complete their necessary quarantine period. We would like to advise all audience members who plan to attend any of the performances this weekend of their potential risk of exposure to COVID-19. We strongly encourage all audience members to wear a mask during the performance to prevent further spread of illness. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate through this difficult decision, and appreciate your support of this group of hard-working youth.

If you have any questions, please contact the Marshall Civic Players at marshallcivicplayers@gmail.com. If you would like to cancel or reschedule your reservation, please contact the box office at 269-781-3335.

With sincere gratitude,
Board of Directors
